During the cruise yachts to stay 6 nm off Syrian coast. At WP4 a Syrian Patrol Boat will probably be on duty. Leave this boat to Port. Arriving at WP3, which is 8.5 nm off the Syrian Coast, go to a 90º (True) Course and keep this course until entering Lattakia Harbour.
Do not cut the corner. It is strictly forbidden to sail closer than 6nm to the Syrian Coast. This is the rule of the Syrian Navy. Accurate navigation is essential

Reporting within the groups according to Group Leaders instructions. Group Leaders to report to Rally Committee after checking the group yachts. |
| ARRIVAL |
28 May 2010, Monday after 07:30 am. Arrival is not permitted during hours of darkness.

Switch to Channel 69 when 1nm from entrance to harbour.
Bow/stern to the pier with own anchor. Instructions will be given by Rally Leader.
Be patient when mooring, waiting on the yacht ahead to berth and assisting other yachts once you are moored. A second tier may be needed. |
| CHECK IN FORMALITIES |
Skippers insert passports, 2 copies of the crew list and a copy of his/her yacht registration into the blue rally bag marked with the name of the yacht. Fill out form and give to collection person with US $80 per yacht and US $10 per person for visas. These will be collected on arrival. |
| SERVICES |
Fuel by tanker on 1 June 2010 prior of departure, water and electricity on the quay available. As in all ports, CHECK voltage before connecting. Use your own cables. There may be bad surges so be warned. |

Two days tour to Damascus & Palmyra
31 May, Thursday. Day tour to Alleppo 20:00 Rally Dinner
1 June, Friday. Half day tour to Ugarit and Saladin’s (Sakag Eddin) Citadel. Free departure according to individual group decision.

There can be strong southerly winds that effect yachts in the harbour.

| CHECK OUT FORMALITIES |
2-3 hours prior to our departure, immigration will bring our passports to the quay to be distributed to our yachts |
| SPECIAL |
The Syrian Yacht Club offers one week free mooring to EMYR participants wishing to return after finishing the rally. However, you must not return directly from Israel. |
