Dear Hasan, dear Faruk,

Very nice to hear so soon, from you both. We filled in the crewlist and entry-form and send it to you. I am sorry that we wrote you such a short message yesterday, but it is just because we are both not so good in english writing. Speaking is something, but writing is something else, for us.....

We have had a great time during the EMYR. At the end we made the desicion not to go to Jordan & Petra. Little bit sad, but we were tired (seen so many beautiful things) and the only thing we want for that moment was a nice bay (Keckova Roads) and a good book. So that was what we did after visiting Cyprus. We spent one week on Cyprus, left our boat in a marina and rented a car. Spend two nights in hotel WITH LOVELY AIRCONDITIONING and visit several villages and also the mountains on the island.
The rest of the summer we sailed along the Turkish coast and some Greek Islands, only short distances and we met several friends (also EMYR friends). In Marmaris we ordered new sails and met, more and more EMYR sailors. It was great to see and speak so many enthousiast EMYR people and what you all say is thrue the EMYR connects people from all different nationalities.

Since the middle of october we are at home. We live on a small island, on top of Holland, named TEXEL and meet here our familie and friends. Cooking and drinking together, taking care of the grand-children sometimes (spoil them a little bit) and playing golf on the golfcourse nearby. It is good mixure of sailing- and familielife what we do (6 months sailing, six at home).

Around the 8th of april we are back in Turkey, where we will prepair our ZOUTERIK for the next season. Direction.......unknown! Maybe we go in May, early June up to the north, to Istanbul/Black Sea Northcoast Turkey.

We let you know where we are at the end of season. Wish you all the very, very best and a good EMYR Rally with fair winds.
